500 miles round trip to Mersing. Never mind that only David and yours truly made the trip. Hitting the road with family, work, or whatever problem behind us temporary was heaven sent. Someone even commented that what fun would that be with just two in Mersing. Duh? 

We started around 8.00 am with scheduled pit-stop at Air Keroh R & R to fill up and breakfast. We took our time with average speed around 130km/h. I did a few short and fun 180km/h bursts. Sjn Mat would never understand. The road was very damped. It probably rained earlier. Weather was pretty cool with haze covering much of the sun blaze. I was counting on the weather report. I wasn’t wearing my Cordura as weatherman had forecasted clear weather from KL to Johor. Wearing full water-proof gear is always uncomfortable especially on Malaysian roads 

I was dead hungry when we reached Air Keroh R&R. Promptly ordered some roti bakar and half-boiled eggs to fill up my organic tank. David was a bit worried about his bike leaking oil. 

I filled up my bike before hitting the road again. Our next stop would be Air Hitam some 130 km away. David decided to push his bike's petrol tank capacity to the limit
